where department stores and mega crowds abound, people line up for hours – if not
days!- to be the first ones through the door.

Not for this laid-back
country girl. First off, we don’t have those kinds of stores in my dinky town on
the central coast of California where I live. Oh, the local mom and pop retails
try to capitalize on their version of Black Friday, but it isn’t the same.

Take your pick.

No, I don’t think
I’ll hit Black Friday this year, or any year. Maybe I’ll take up a good book
and read my day away.

Feed store, definitely. They sell cast iron pans, right?
Hanging out at home today, time to get reading and off the net. Or maybe one more hop. 🙂

I like to concentrate on eating leftovers. It's too hard to be in the crowds especially with little ones.

I don't care for Black Friday. Some of the footage I've seen of how insane people get scares me.

Sheri…is that your reading outfit? Hubby must be thrilled! I am working Friday, as we don't have a day off in the Great North. Perhaps I will celebrate with a new book tonight, or go back and revisit some fave passages from Remedy Maker! [email protected]
Thanks for the giveaway! I am NOT shopping today.

I do not like crowds so BF shopping is not for me! I will be spending my day hopping and then snuggled up reading! Well that is after I decide on what new book I have just added to my to be read list! It gets longer every hop! Thanks!

Thanks for the chance. I'm not a fan of BF.

The sad thing is I think your town has more choices than my village. angelacisco79(at)yahoo(dot)com
I definitely stay at home on Black Friday. It's a madhouse. We were going to go last year to Wal-Mart at 10 pm. We drove in the lot and then right back out and home we went. The drive was a nice time spent with my sister-in-law but I couldn't believe the crowd that was in the store. Where was the fire marshal? Had to be over crowded.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

I'd rather shop from my computer than fight the crowds and waste the gasoline. Great pictures and your book looks really good!

I'm not a Black Friday shopper. I don't believe that shopping should ever be a full contact sport. I spend the day baking cookies with my kiddos instead.

Thanks! [email protected]
I don't do Black Friday — the week before Thanksgiving usually marks the LAST time I deal with retail until after the New Year!
Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

I can't do Black Friday shopping (unless it's online) – I don't have the patience or the stamina for the lines and the crowds. Happy Holidays and thank you for the opportunity to win some great prizes. [email protected]
On Black Friday I defininitely stay away from the major retailers. I don't know if you know this, but people are crazy! So the restaurant and the feed store sound pretty good!
Thanks!
rae.gwendy(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd rather visit the awesome blogs that take part in the hop than go out and shop! [email protected]
I used to go shopping on Black Friday and I enjoyed it but now I'd rather shop on line or just find deals throughout the year.

No black Friday for me!
Thanks so much!

I love to shop on the internet. Thanks for the hop.

This year on Black Friday I have purchased lots of sale books on Amazon and have started this hop. It is a lot to do in one day, but I am determined. I am sure in previous Black Fridays I just played online. I have only went shopping ONE time and yes, there is a reason it has only been one time!
Happy Holidays,
Marlena

I love getting up early and going to the stores for the Black Friday deals, but this year they started them at 8pm on Thanksgiving and I just didn't feel like fighting the crowds. So I waited until 11:30pm when the stores were almost empty and still got all the specials I wanted.
proudarmymom32(at)yahoo(dot)com
I refuse to shop on Black Friday unless it's online lol
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I no longer go Black Friday shopping. Too many crazy people out there. I don't have the patience I had when I was younger, LOL. So today I am staying in and blog hopping, instead of shopping! [email protected] Thanks for the hop!
I shop online if I do any black friday shopping, I have no patience for the people, lines and weather. Thx for the great hop stop.

I wonder how many people actually make it through this huge list of bloggers and leave comments on each one. What a task.
